X-Factor winner Melanie Amaro will appear in a Super Bowl commercial alongside music legend Elton John. In addition to her $5 million contract, she won the opportunity to star in a Pepsi ad that will air during this year’s Super Bowl. This could launch Amaro into the realm of Superstardom, joining the likes of Britney Spears, who starred in a successful Pepsi ad campaign.
The ad takes place in the King’s Court during the Middle Ages. John plays the King while Amaro is one of the the court jester’s chosen to entertain the King. The legend gives complements to the X-Factor winner saying she “ooozes personality” and “she’s got to make a hit record, which I’m sure she will, she’s got the voice to do it.”
Amaro showcases her powerhouse voice singing “Respect” by the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. Look out for the ad February 5th during the Super Bowl!
