Houston we have landed…a television series that is!
TNT has ordered a cop drama based in Houston from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The network gave the greenlight to six episodes of Marshal Law: Texas (working title), a new unscripted drama from Warner Horizon Television, Jerry Bruckheimer Television (JBTV) and Megalomedia Inc. The show is expected to premiere on TNT in 2013.
Marshal Law: Texas is set in Houston,Texas and produced with the cooperation of The U.S. Marshal Service. The show will center around the elite Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force where U.S. Marshals will work alongside personnel from the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and other surrounding law-enforcement agencies to track down extremely violent offenders, hunt for America’s most wanted and serve warrants.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The Amazing Race executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will produce the new show alongside Megalomedia’s Jonathan Nowzaradan. JBTV’s Kristie Anne Reed will serve as co-executive producer.
