The judging table has been rounded out for the second season of The X Factor. Britney Spears recently signed a one-year $15 million contract and Demi Lovato will be signing one in the next few days.
Nigel Lythgoe, head honcho of American Idol, has gone on record to say that he never even considered having Spears or Lovato as a judge on his show.
“I hadn’t even considered them. I always like mentors who have a lot more experience,” said Nigel Lythgoe. “Having said that, these two ladies have so much personal experience; it’ll be interesting. I like someone who’s been there and who knows the whole gamut of what these kids are going through and help them through.”
Britney Spears has revealed how excited she is to be a part of the show.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join ‘The X Factor’ judging panel,” said Spears. “I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out.”
