Wishy, washy murder witness Kato Kaelin now claims that O.J. Simpson did murder Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman nearly 20 years ago. Kato was staying at the Simpson guest house during the time of the murder, witnessing Simpson’s movements throughout the property before and after the murder.
“The statute of limitations has now passed…so I can now say…yes, he did it,” Kato told the New York Post.
Why has Kato waited so long to tell the “truth”?
“I was too scared. I was terrified,” Kato said. “People hated me. I’ve been spat upon. They threw gum in my coffee.”
The former trial witness would inevitably be declared a “hostile witness” by Prosecutor Marcia Clark due to his rambling and inconsistent testimony throughout the 1995 murder trial. The declarations would cause Kato to become the “butt” of jokes by Late Night Talk Show hosts who made fun of his surfer persona and lack of employment. Even the Simpson’s children considered the guy a freeloader.
So did O.J. Simpson really commit the crime? We may never know.
Either way, O.J. is in prison at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada for up to thirty-three years for charges stemming from the 2007 Palace Station robbery.
As Kato said before, karma will catch up with you.
