NFL May Cancel Pro Bowl

The annual Pro Bowl held in Hawaii is on the fringe of being cancelled.  The annual game brings together the best of the NFL to compete against each other according to their conference . Last year, NFL players petitioned for the cancellation of the Pro Bowl and Commissioner Roger Goodell could not agree more.

“It’s really tough to force competition and after a long season to ask those guys to go out and play at the same level that they play is pretty tough,” Goodell said on his SiriusXM show.

Of course for fans, this is unsettling news.  As you might remember, last year the Pro Bowl was almost cancelled a week before the game due to a lack of attendance by both teams competing in the Super Bowl, injuries, and the willingness of player participation.

As of now this seasons’ Pro Bowl is on schedule.  While Goodell plans on executing a more competitive endeavor, fans will hopefully be rewarded with an entertaining NFL tradition.
