Jay Leno Planning Comeback to TV with Car Show

Since Jay Leno’s retirement and departure from The Tonight Show in February after hosting the program for over 20 years, he may be soon coming back to television.

Jay Leno is reportedly in negotiations with NBC Universal to host a new primetime series all about cars. The show would air on the cable network CNBC and is expected to be a regular series on the network.

Jay Leno is known for his love and collection of cars and already has web series show called Jay Leno’s Garage. Leno’s new show would be similar to a special aired last month over the Labor Day weekend on CNBC called Jay’s Garage: The Ultimate Car Week. The special showcased Leno going deep into the heart of Monterey Car Week in California at Pebble Beach’s Concours d’Elegance.

CNBC has not confirmed their negotiations with Leno about hosting a new show on their network. This would be Leno’s second time to return to television after his departure from The Tonight Show.
