Blade Runner 2049 Sequel Series In Works

The cult classic Blade Runner franchise is heading to the small screen. A Blade Runner 2049 sequel series is in the works at Amazon Studios.

Ridley Scott, the man behind the original 1982 Blade Runner, will be executive producing the series entitled Blade Runner 2099. The story will follow the events of the Denis Villeneuve sequel in 2017 with Silka Luisa writing the show.

This continuation of the Blade Runner story is currently a high priority for Amazon Studios, and if the series moves fast enough, Ridley Scott himself will direct.
