Reggie Bush to Sue City of St. Louis After Season-Ending Injury

We often hear of NFL players being injured on the gridiron, but it’s not often a player is drastically injured on the sideline.  That’s the case with Reggie Bush’s latest injury at Edward Jones Dome.

The running back suffered a season-ending and potentially career-threatening knee injury after slipping on concrete near the field last week. Video of the incident shows Bush trying to slow his fall after losing his footing; resulting in a torn MCL.  The 30-year-old NFL veteran underwent surgery this past week but it is unclear if he’ll ever return to the field.

Bush has already hired high-powered attorney Shawn Holley to take the case against St. Louis’ Sports Authority and Convention Bureau, the owners and operators of the Edward Jones Dome. Holley was a member of the O.J. Simpson legal team and has represented a plethora of celebrity clients including Lindsey Lohan, Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton.

According to CBSSports.com’s Jason LaCanfora, Bush will likely file for gross negligence against the city of St. Louis due to the hazard of such a slippery surface near the playing field. This is reportedly not the first time an incident like this has occurred at the venue.
