ABC News is reporting that the Federal government is now investigating former seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong for obstruction, witness tampering and intimidation.
The news comes on the same day that Armstrong must tell investigators the truth about his doping activities if he ever wants a chance for his lifetime ban in sports to be revoked by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Federal investigators are reportedly not interested in Armstrong’s drug use, rather the methods he used to keep his doping secret under wraps.
Today a high-level source confirmed the ongoing investigation to ABC News saying, “Agents are actively investigating Armstrong for obstruction, witness tampering and intimidation.”
If it is true that Armstrong was involved in any of these illegal activities then he could be spending some serious time in prison.
