The Monkees have announced they are headed to the U.S. for an upcoming tour this summer. The three surviving members, Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork will travel across New England and the Ohio River Valley for a 14-date tour.
The band has been actively touring since reuniting in 2011 to celebrate their 45th anniversary. The Monkees became popular thanks to their hit TV series Monkees in 1965 and subsequent albums releases throughout the ’60s.
Nesmith told Rolling Stone last year he enjoyed getting back together with his bandmates saying, “It was so much fun, the people that come, they bring their expectations, and we give them exactly what they want, so that’s perfect. I don’t know what they’re bringing in the door, but I’m happy to see them.”
Tickets are already on sale on the band’s website.
