Miley Cyrus Scores First #1 Single with “Wrecking Ball”

Miley Cyrus has been making an image for her self since her VMA performance a few weeks ago, and this diva is not stopping!  Her second single, “Wrecking Ball,” from her new upcoming album Bangerz,  has skyrocketed to the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

“Wrecking Ball” jumped up 21 spots since last week to knock out Perry’s hit single “Roar” from the #1 spot after two weeks.  The song already made history on VEVO earlier this week when it drew 19.3 million views within its first 24 hours online.  It is also the number one single on Spotify, Streaming and Digital songs.

Miley tweeted the news saying, “#1 on Billboard. #1 on iTunes. #1 on Spotify. #1 on Streaming. #1 on Digital songs. #1 most added to pop radio. #1 on VEVO. #WreckingBall ❤”

This is Cyrus’ first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.  Previously, she peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 with her singles ‘We Can’t Stop” and “Party in the U.S.A.”

Miley’s fourth studio album, Bangerz, will be released on October 8th and features collaborations with Britney Spears, Nelly, Big Sean and more.
