Mariah Carey was injured while filming a music video for a remix version of her single “#Beautiful” with Young Jeezy in New York on Sunday.
“Mariah injured herself while filming a video with Jeezy for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon,” Carey’s rep, Cindi Berger, announced on Monday. “She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine.”
The injury will not affect the Grammy-award winning singer’s performance at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert with the New York Philharmonic on Saturday.
Carey’s fourteenth studio album, The Art of Letting Go, has been plagued by delays but is expected to be released sometime in 2013. The album’s first single “#Beautiful” peaked at #15 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and features Grammy-winning R&B singer Miguel.
