Rapper Kayne West will not be prosecuted for felony charges for his attack on a photographer that took place at LAX airport last week.
Initially felony assault charges were going to be pressed, but due to the situation having very little evidence to support the theory that Kayne was attempting to steal a photographers camera, the charges will most likely dropped. The LAPD still has to officially send the attempted robbery charges to the district attorney, which are expected to be dismissed.
West is not completely in the clear because the photographer can still press charges for misdemeanor criminal battery. The whole situation can easily be cleared up through a civil compromise if Kanye decides to pay up to the photographer in order to make the case go away. If he chooses that route, all charges would be erased from his record.
