The 2015 Country Music Association Awards were announced earlier today with new faces to add to the list of nominees.
Steven Tyler and Kelsea Ballerini announced the list of nominees early this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, with Eric Church and Little Big Town leading the way with five nominations each.
The most surprising are the new artists with multiple award considerations. When most artists are only nominated for Best New Artist, these fresh faces are for sure to shake the awards show this year.
Artists Sam Hunt, Maddie and Tae, Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton all earned three nominations each. Maddie and Tea is nominated for Best New Artist, Vocal Duo of the Year, and Single of the Year. For Sam Hunt, not only was he nominated for Best New Artist, but for Single of the Year and Song of the Year for “Take Your Time.” Musgraves isn’t entirely new for awards consideration, after winning two Grammys in 2013, she is now nominated for Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Best Music Video. Lastly for Chris Stapleton, his critically acclaimed album Traveller is up for Album of the Year, with a Best New Artist, and Male Vocalist of the Year nominations.
With country superstars Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, and The Zac Brown Band going head to head with country’s new blood, it will sure be an award show you will not want to miss.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are set to host the award show for the eighth time when the 2015 CMA Awards air live on ABC on November 4th, 2015 at 7pm CTS!
