Grammy-award winning singer Beyonce has been named People Magazines 2012 Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Earlier this year the 30-year-old singer and husband Jay-Z welcomed the birth of their first child, Blue Ivy Carter.
“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth,” Beyonce told People Magazine.
Other women who have held the title include Michelle Pfeiffer, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez, last year’s winner.
Beyonce is currently prepping for her first concert tour since the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy in January.
