It has been 24 years since Beetlejuice made its way onto the screens in 1988 and Tim Burton is in talks to direct the film’s sequel.
Now writer/producer duo David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are working on a sequel for the 1988 comedy horror film with the blessing of Tim Burton.
Burton told MTV News: “I always think about how great and fun that character was, so I just said to Seth, ‘If you have some idea about it, go for it, and then I’ll look at it freshly. In the past, I tried some things, but that was way back when. He seemed really excited about it.”
It is rumored that Michael Keaton would return as the role of Beetlejuice.
“I love that character,” said Burton. “Michael is so great in it.”
Tim Burton is currently working on Dark Shadows and Frankenweenie.
