Everyone’s favorite 1930’s cartoon flapper, Betty Boop, is planning on receiving her very first feature-length film, and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment will be producing it!
Boop, created by Max Fleisher for is Talkartoons series, has appeared in over 100 cartoons. The fun-loving, flirtatious character (with her signature line “Boop-oop-a-doop!”) was last seen in a cameo during 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
The press release describes the upcoming film as “a music-driven hybrid animated comedy.”
“Betty is an icon, and one of the biggest stars in the world—I’m thrilled to be working with her,” said Cowell. “Betty, I’ve worked with some serious divas but I think you could be the biggest of them all!”
