Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt will soon be battling against dinosaurs in Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World.
Director Colin Trevorrow has posted a new image from his upcoming sequel on his Twitter account, featuring a caged in Chris Pratt (still no dinosaurs in sight). The film will be the series’ fourth Jurassic installment to be released. It stars Pratt as the central character named Owen, a scientist who conducts behavioral research on raptors.
The film co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, B.D. Wong, Katie McGrath and Lauren Lapkus.
As of yet, there have not been any specific details released pertaining to the plot of the film. In an interview with NBC’s Today, Pratt gave subtle hints that the new installment will feature a new operational dinosaur theme park.
He explained that Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the dinosaur theme park was conceived.
“People from around the world, 20,000 visitors a day, come to see the dinosaurs and see the several attractions,” he said. “It’s been around long enough to where attendance starts to fall off a little bit. So they’ve decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. You’re never gonna believe it, but it doesn’t go well.”
Jurassic World is due out June 12, 2015, 22 years after the original blockbuster.
