After Universal Pictures reportedly dropped the June 2014 release date for Jurassic Park 4, fans immediately worried that the project had been scrapped. Thanks to our friends at ComingSoon.com that seems to not be the case.
ComingSoon.com attended the 2013 Licensing Expo and noticed a brand new Jurassic Park banner with a 2015 released date on it. It seems that the script and turnaround issues that initially caused the movie to be pushed back will all be resolved in time for a 2015 release.
According to the pamphlet at the 2013 Licensing Expo, Jurassic Park 4 will be filmed in 3D and directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed). The film’s screenplay is being written by husband and wife team Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).
The film’s plot is expected to revolve around some type of return to Isla Nublar, the setting of the original film.
