‘Harry Potter’ Week Coming To IMAX Theaters

Hold your hippogriffs, Harry Potter is coming back to theaters! Warner Bros. Pictures, partnering with the IMAX Corporation, is bringing all eight Harry Potter films to U.S. IMAX locations for an exclusive one-week engagement. The magical event kicks off October 13, 2016 as a prelude to the November release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Aside from presenting all eight films, Warner Bros. has digitally remastered both Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which never had IMAX releases, into the immersive IMAX viewing format.

Whether you are a member of Gryffindor or Slytherin houses, everyone is encouraged to attend (yes, even muggles). And those who make it to the special engagement will be treated to exclusive content from Fantastic Beasts, including specially recorded greetings from star Eddie Redmayne and others.

Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp., is thrilled to give Potterheads the opportunity to revisit the film series on the big screen.

“Harry Potter is one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and is incredibly important to the history of IMAX. Therefore, being able to offer each installment — especially the initial two for the very first time in IMAX — makes this a truly magical event for fans.”

Depending on your devotion to the boy wizard, you can buy a Single Ticket; Day Access (admittance to three or more shows in a single day); Four-Show Access (admittance to four shows any time, any day); and Festival Access (unlimited admittance throughout the event). Visit IMAX.com/HarryPotter for additional event details, all movie showtimes, and ticket availability.

Grab yourself a pint of Butterbeer, a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, and board the Hogwarts Express! Expecto Imaxum!!
