Drive-By Shooting Occurs On Set of NWA Biopic

The crew for the upcoming NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton got the shock of a lifetime when a real-life drive-by shooting occurred right in front of the set.

Gunfire erupted when local residents across the street from the film’s set started flashing gang signs at a passing car.  Noone on the Compton courthouse film set were injured, but one resident across the street was shot and survived.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the matter and have not yet determined whether the incident was gang related or not.

Meanwhile, even though the film crew was shocked and frightened, filming  is scheduled to resume this week in a different location in Compton.

Straight Outta Compton will open in theaters on August 14, 2015.
