Steve Carell appeared as the character Gru from Despicable Me 2 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday to promote his new film.
The comedic actor dressed up as Gru, wearing a black coat, bald cap, and a long prosthetic nose. During the interview, he spoke in Gru’s accent and stayed in character the entire time.
Carell joked that he had never been on television and had never met Ellen DeGeneres before, nor had he ever been to L.A. The actor concluded his interview by dancing with the audience.
