“Argo” Wins Again At The SAG Awards

The winning ways continue for Ben Affleck’s “Argo” as the film took home the award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture at the 19th annual SAG (Screen Actors Guild) awards held last night in Los Angeles.

This follows recent best picture wins at the Golden Globes as well as the Producers Guild of America for the movie based on the rescue of six Americans during the Iran hostage crisis.

“Argo” is now being predicted as the winner for Best Picture at the upcoming Oscars, despite Affleck being snubbed in the Best Director category.

Daniel Day-Lewis also won in the Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role category for “Lincoln.” This almost assures a win for Best Actor at the Academy Awards.

Another predicted front-runner, Jennifer Lawrence won for Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance in “Silver Linings Playbook.”
