Dave Mullins & Dana Murray Talk Pixar Short LOU | SXSW

Meet Pixar’s newest monster – Lou.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with director Dave Mullins and producer Dana Murray in this backstage interview to talk about their Pixar short, Lou.

Lou first premiered at The South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 12th, and will be theatrically released on June 16th, together with Pixar’s Cars 3. In the interview, the pair shared the process of developing a short, how the story of Lou was cultivated, and more!

The short’s premise, provided by Wikipedia:

 A red hooded monster named Lou, who lives in the “Lost & Found” box, tries to stop a bully named J.J. from destroying his classmates’ beloved toys.
