An unnamed source is claiming the next Dead Space game may not take place in space at all.
According to Siliconera, Dead Space 3 will drop players onto the icy world of Tau Volantis.
The story is unclear at this point, but players will have crash landed on the planet and must regroup with other survivors, including Ellie from Dead Space 2.
Expect Tau Volantis to feature predominantly white terrain. You know … because it’s so icy.
Along the way, he’ll also meet a new character named Jennifer.
“She’s a tech type excited over finding a codex and plans to reverse engineer research by a group called Rosetta to gain access to it.”
The enemies in this game are being referred to as the “hive mind.” Whether that’s an allusion to the necromorphs from the past two games or if it’s a completely new enemy, time will tell.
