Pop star Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach Friday morning on suspicion of DUI after being pulled over for drag racing. The singer’s blood alcohol level was recorded as 0.04 at the time of arrest, however, reports have surfaced indicating that Bieber’s BAC was only a mere 0.014 and nowhere near the legal limit.
Bieber said he was not drunk at the scene of the crime, but sources claimed there was a stench of alcohol on the singer’s breath. “The officer immediately smelled an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver’s breath and bloodshot eyes. The driver had slow deliberate movements and a stupor look on his face.” The DUI charges against Bieber are now in doubt, with the Miami police team’s credibility being questionable.
In addition to the DUI charges, Bieber also faced charges of resisting arrest and driving with an expired license. He was released yesterday on $2,500 bail.
