Grammy winner Chris Brown had to make an emergency landing in Burbank, CA when the cockpit of his private jet filled up with smoke. The R&B singer was on his way from Los Angeles to New York City where he was to attend Monday night’s Met Gala event.
Brown’s Gulfstream jet was only in the air for about 10 minutes when the crew and passengers aboard noticed smoke inside the cockpit. The pilot of the jet quickly turned the plane around and returned to Burbank airport. Brown and the other passengers where evacuated from the jet, and an hour later bordered another where they contented their trip to New York.
Brown did not make it in time to attend the Met Gala event, but was reported to have made it in time to attend the “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” after-party.
