‘Venom’ Backtracks Delay for Theater Run

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now release exclusively in theaters on Oct. 1, according to Sony Pictures. It was previously announced the film would be delayed due to rising COVID-19 cases. 

The move comes off the heels of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ opening weekend box office success. Shang-Chi earned the second-highest domestic opening during the pandemic, earning roughly $71 million.
