Watch: First Look At Mary J. Blige In ‘How To Get Away With Murder’

Guest-starring on ABC’s drama How To Get Away With Murder this week is Grammy winner Mary J. Blige!

In the sneak peek clip, Annalise (Viola Davis) is at the hair salon getting her weave done by Blige’s character, whom we know little about. Although the singer will only be starring in one episode so far, HTGAWM creator Pete Nowalk previously mentioned that her role could possibly be recurring.

Cast member Aja Naomi King said that Blige’s character in the show is a perfect fit. “What was written for her and the way that it’s done was just so perfect,” said King.

Blige recently appeared on the season 1 finale of ABC’s black-ish last May, as well as her starring role as Evillene in NBC’s The Wiz Live! special in December. She will be appearing in director Dee Rees’ Mudbound, which is scheduled for a 2017 release.
