Watch: Disney Releases Sneak Peek Of ‘Descendants’

Disney Channel has released the first 6 minutes of their newest original movie Descendants.

High School Musical’s Kenny Ortega directed the film, which follows the trouble making offspring of Disney’s classic villains – Maleficent, Jafar, Cruella de Vil and the Evil Queen. The teenaged son of King “Beast” and Queen Belle, Ben (played by Mitchell Hope), who is poised to take the throne, offers a chance for redemption to the descendants of the villains who have been exiled to the remote Isle of the Lost.

Kristin Chenoweth stars as Maleficent, with Live and Maddie’s Dove Cameron as her daughter, Mal. Austin & Ally’s Sofia Carson plays Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy). Playing Cruella de Vil is Wendy Raquel Robinson, with Jessie’s Cameron Boyce as her son, Carlos. Lastly, Maz Jobrani stars as Jafar, with Twilight’s Booboo Stewart as his son, Jay.

Disney’s Descendants premieres Friday, July 31st on Disney Channel at 8/7c. Check out the six-minute sneak peek below, which features the first jam from the film titled “Rotten to the Core.”
