Top Shows This Week: January 13 – 17

While it might be difficult to choose what to watch, there’s a little something for everyone! We have two helpings of J.Lo this week, a triple header on Thursday, and a few series premieres!

Set your DVR’S and sit on the couch. These are this weeks picks!

Wednesday, January 13

American Idol

The farewell tour continues as Ryan and the judges search for talent in Philadelphia, Denver, and Little Rock. Its double night for Idol as the show will do its auditions on Thursday also.

Mob Wives

If you’re looking for a little more drama in you reality TV shows, make sure to flip back to VH1. With the Philly crewing exiting the show (because you know “Im from south Philly!”) the Staten Island Crew is finally at peace. But when a new girl enters the crew, the ladies are forced with some difficult choices.

The Late Late Show with James Corden

James Corden has made Carpool Karaoke a staple and a must watch for his show. He has brought on musical guests such as One Direction, Rod Stewart, and Justin Bieber. Now he has brought the most popular artist in the world today, Adele! This is a MUST watch. Stay up late folks, it’s going to be worth it!

Thursday, January 14 

Lip Sync Battle

This weeks competition puts up Ride Alone 2 co stars Kevin Hart and Olivia Munn. Hart has participated in a lip sync competition on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he know how to bring down the house for sure. Yet Olivia Munn is snooze when it comes to bringing on the laughs.

Jennifer Lopez stars in her first TV role since In Living Color. She will be joined by Ray Liotta and Drea De Matteo in this gritty crime thriller where a police detective (Lopez) is recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force that’s investigating her colleagues.

USA @ 9pm CST

For the Sci-Fi lovers we have a brand new series that starS Josh Holloway of Lost, Sarah Wayne Callies of The Walking Dead. The show circles around a family who does its best to survive in an alien occupied L.A.

Saturday, January 16

NFL Playoff: Packers at Cardinals

NBC @ 7pm CST

The last time Green Bay faced Arizona, they were hammered 38 – 8. Here’s to hoping the Packers offensive line can challenge the defense and protect quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Saturday Night Live

NBC @ 10:59pm CST

After the game, and your local news , make sure to stay on NBC for the return of SNL. After a short hiatus, Adam Driver will take over hosting duties with musical guest Chris Stapleton!

Sunday, January 17

Rashida Jones is back on TV as Angie Tribeca. The show is spoof comedy centered around LAPD veteran. The show produced by Steve and Nancy Carell is premiering on the 25 hour, 10 episode marathon! TBS has also renewed the show for a second season. This is a MUST watch!

Billions

SHOWTIME @ 9pm CST

This new show has an all-star cast in Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis, and Malin Akerman. The show is complete cat and mouse game where a powerful US attorney, played by Giamatti, gets a tip of insider trading that leads to a billionaire hedge fund king played by Lewis. If you cant wait to to watch the show, the first episode is streaming on Hulu, YouTube, Showtime and several other sites.
