‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Reality Show Being Shopped

Jordan Belfort, the real life scam artist who inspired Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in The Wolf of Wall Street, could soon become a reality star.

Belfort, 51, has teamed up with Electus CEO Chris Grant to step in to help others who, like him, have hit rock bottom, but still hold out some hope for redemption.

Grant said, “I knew without even seeing a picture of him that he could be a talent
both behind and in front of the camera.”

Grant became obsessed with Belfort after reading his 2007 memoir, The Wolf of Wall Street, in which he shared his scheme of scamming investors out of $110 million throughout the ’90s. After serving 28 months in prison, Belfort now works as a motivational speaker.

The Wolf of Wall Street opened in theaters on Christmas day and has grossed over $30 million at the box office so far, although it did not live up to the studio’s expectations.
