At Comic-Con, attendees got to see the first trailer for Season 4 of the PBS Masterpiece Sherlock during Sundays’ (July 24th) panel.
“Something’s coming,” warns Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock Holmes ominously in the opening of the teaser. “Maybe it’s Moriarty, maybe it’s not. But something’s coming.” According to the show’s co-creator Mark Gatiss, the new season is said to be the darkest one yet.
“It’s no spoiler: We explicitly said it is the darkest season yet and still obviously full of laughs and fun, but is generally tonally dark,” Gatiss told EW at Comic-Con this weekend.
BC: You get a real thrill reading each new script and it’s great to see a real evolution of all the characters especially in S4
