Xfactor boss Simon Cowell apparently isn’t very happy with his team. The ratings for his post American Idol vehicle in the U.S. were good but not great and that means that a full blown house cleaning was in order. Host Steve Jones announced via his Twitter account late last night that he would not be returning to the show and had no regrets about it. But overnight the rumor mill went into full churn mode with reports that Nicole Sherzinger was also gone from Xfactor. The most shocking news however, had to be from Deadline.com when they reported that Paula Abdul also met her fate on the chopping block. This is the one that blew me away because so much was made of the Simon and Paula reunion and she definitely has a substantial fan base that had been waiting for her to return to the judge’s table.
Now the search is on for the replacements. Look for Simon to pull out all the stops in order to get the best of the best the music industry has to offer to fill his vacancies. This is a guy that is not afraid to put his money where his mouth is and he’s also not timid about spending whatever it takes to get what he wants. No date has been set for the premiere of Xfactor season two but chances are that we will here something soon from the Cowell camp concerning the new and improved crew. Keep it tuned right here!
