“Seinfeld” has been voted as the best sitcom of all time in a recent 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll. The brainchild of creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David barely edged out the 1950’s sitcom “The Honeymooners” to take the top spot.
According to the 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll, the top sitcoms of all time are:
- “Seinfeld” (1989-1998) – 22%
- “The Honeymooners” (1951-1956) – 20%
- “Friends” (1994-2004) – 16%
- “Cheers” (1982-1993) – 14%
- “Arrested Development” (2003-2006) – 7%
- “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” (1970-1977) – 6%
- “30 Rock” (2006-2013) – 5%
