Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Ryan Lochte has had his reality series cancelled after just one season.
E! decided to cancel the unscripted docuseries called “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” after only an eight-episode run. The show followed Ryan around as he was training for the 2016 Olympics, and included scenes from his personal life. The show premiered in April 2013 and lasted until May, averaging only just 440,000 total viewers for the season.
Ironically E! has a “end of the season video” on their website showing Ryan celebrating at his season one “Wrap- up” party. In the video, he mentions that the next thing he will do is going to be “big,” claiming that he is still searching for that one girl to fall in love with, which the show tried focusing on in the beginning. Instead, throughout the show, Ryan focused on trying to recall the girls he met and their names. Good luck with that Ryan.
