Ri-Ri has signed on to executive produce and appear in a new style competition, “Styled to Rock.” It will air on the U.K.’s Sky Living HD network for ten weeks in August.
“I’ve always loved fashion,” said Rihanna during the trailer. “Fashion has helped shape me into the artist that I am today.”
She is expected to temporarily move to the U.K. for filming. The singer will mentor young British designers towards success with her own stylist, Lisa Cooper, fashion designer Henry Holland and Nicola Roberts of pop girl group Girls Aloud.
“I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career, and they have been instrumental in making sure my creative vision reaches the stage,” said Rihanna in a press release. “I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show.”
The contestants will design a stage outfit for one of Rihanna’s live performances for the final challenge of the series, according to the show’s website.
