Ray Romano is the latest star to join the cast of a upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roll drama on HBO. The pilot currently stars Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple, Max Casella and Jack Quaid.
Set in the 1970s in New York, the drama tells the story of Richie Finestra, a record executive played by Cannavale, struggling to revamp his label and find the next new sound in the midst of the Disco and Punk music era. Romano will play Zak Yankovich, a friend of Finestra, who helps the record executive become successful in the music business.
The untitled Rock ‘n’ Roll drama will be executive produced by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese and written by Terence Winter. HBO is set to begin production for the pilot this summer, but an official title or date for the pilot has yet to be released by HBO.
