Queen Elizabeth to Visit ‘Game of Thrones’ Set
Queen Elizabeth II will be heading off on a tour of Northern Ireland next week, and one of the stops includes a visit to another kingdom.
The British Monarchy announced this morning via Twitter that the Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, will go on a tour of Belfast studios where the HBO hit series Game of Thrones is filmed.

Their tour of Northern Ireland will be from June 23 to June 25.
Game of Thrones has become HBO’s most-watched series with an average of 18.6 million viewers across all platforms, and its season 4 finale last weekend broke illegal download records, with about 1.5 million illegal downloads within 12 hours of the episode’s airing. The show’s success has also helped Northern Ireland’s economy, which attributes the fantasy drama for its economic benefit of $139 million dollars and the creation of over 900 full-time and 5,700 part-time jobs over the past four years, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
