According to multiple sources at US Weekly, Nicki Minaj is in talks to be a judge on the upcoming season of ‘American Idol.’ It has been reported that a few contracts have to be signed before it becomes official.
Both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler stepped down from their judges’ chairs and rumors have swirled about which stars will be asked to fill their seats. Last month, Mariah Carey was the first replacement judge confirmed for the Fox reality show.
It has been reported that Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are in consideration to be judges on the show as well, US Weekly’s sources say that current judge Randy Jackson will be moved to a mentoring role.
Ryan Seacrest will be returning as host. The 12th season of ‘American Idol’ premieres on Fox in January.
