New ‘Game of Thrones’ Trailer Premiered at Apple Event

This afternoon at Apple’s Spring event HBO announced HBO Now, the company’s streaming service offering the entire HBO series and movie catalog on any Apple device for $14.99.

The announcement was made by HBO’s CEO Richard Plepler. HBO Now will be available beginning in April and new users will get the first month free.

This news of a streaming service independent of a cable servoce comes just in time for the premiere of HBO’s spring lineup including the fifth season of Game of Thrones. To celebrate, Richard Plepler premiered a new Game of Thrones trailer. The trailer shows familiar images from the previous teaser released in January but also gives a new glorious view of Daenerys Targaryen’s black dragon, Drogon.

Season 5 of Game of Thrones Premieres Sunday April 12 on HBO.
