Twenty years since its final episode aired on ABC, Full House may be getting a reboot on Netflix.
The revival, currently titled Fuller House, would consist of thirteen episodes and star Candace Cameron Bure as DJ Tanner and Andrea Barber as DJ’s best friend Kimmy Gibbler. John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier would also possibly guest star and reprise their roles from the original sitcom.
Jeff Franklin, the creator of Full House, will executive produce the new series alongside Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett who also executive produced the original series.
According to TVLine.com, Netflix is close to reaching a deal to ordering the new series. Netflix and Warner Bros. have not yet commented on the report.
Full House is the latest show to be rebooted in the current TV trend of revivals. Networks are planning to bring back The X-Files, Coach, Twin Peaks, and Heroes. In addition, The Odd Couple, Arrested Development, 24, and Boy Meets World have recently made their return to television.
