Musical Version of ‘The O.C.’ is in the Works
The Fox teen drama The O.C. is being rebooted as a musical for one night only.
Jordan Ross and Lindsey Rosin, the team behind Cruel Intentions: The Musical, will be directing and producing The O.C. musical, respectively. The show will be performed in Los Angeles at an unknown location on August 30.
The show has its own Twitter account, and casting announcements have already been made:

South’s “Paint the Silence,” a song that was used during season one of the show when Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie) and Marissa (Mischa Barton) kissed on top of a ferris wheel, will be one of the musical numbers:
