Michael Jackson’s Extended Family Gets Reality Show

The Reelz Channel has announced that some of Michael Jackson’s extended family members will be starring in a new reality series, set to debut this fall.

The six-episode series, titled Living with the Jacksons, will follow Alejandra Jackson, the ex-wife of Michael’s brother Jermaine, and her five children. After the death of Michael five years ago, the family was forced to move out of the Jackson family home in Encino, California.

“We didn’t want it to happen that way,” Alejandra’s daughter Genevieve stated at the summer TV critic’s tour this past weekend.

“We were very sheltered,” she added. “There’s a lot of outside people coming in and out of our house. We had to watch what we said.”

Alejandra has had a complicated love life. She had her first two children, Genevieve and Randy Jr. with Randy Jackson. Then she married Randy’s brother Jermaine and had two sons, Jaafar and Jermajesty. She also has been raising son Donte since he was two years old after he was adopted by Michael’s parents, Katherine and Joe. The family now lives together outside of the Jackson family estate.

“People already had a preconceived judgment of us and we weren’t speaking,” Randy Jr. said. “Now we feel comfortable enough to show how we really are.”

Living with the Jacksons premieres Tuesday, November 18 at 7pm CST on Reelz.
