Martin Milner, who starred as Officer Pete Malloy in the 1960s-1970s police drama Adam-12, has passed away at the age of 83.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed it on social media Monday:

Milner also starred as Tod Stiles in the popular 1960s drama Route 66, and guest starred in many television series, including The Twilight Zone, MacGyver, Fantasy Island, Columbo, and Dragnet. He was also known for his film roles in 1947’s Life With Father alongside Elizabeth Taylor, 1957’s Sweet Smell of Success with Burt Lancaster, 1958’s Marjorie Morningstar with Natalie Wood and Gene Kelly, and 1967’s Valley of the Dolls. His last role was as a detective on Diagnosis Murder in 1997.
After he retired from acting, Milner co-hosted a radio show in California called “Let’s Talk Hook-Up.”
His cause of death is unknown, but TMZ reports he “died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.”
He is survived by wife Judith Bess “Judy” Jones, daughter Molly, and sons Stuart and Andrew.
