Lady Gaga to Star in ‘American Horror Story Season 5: Hotel’

Just days after nailing her Julie Andrew’s tribute at The 87th Academy Awards, FX has announced that Lady Gaga will be starring in the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

Lady Gaga later confirmed and elaborated on the news by revealing the name of the new season, Hotel, in a video through her twitter.

Lady Gaga has acted in Saturday Night Live skits and appeared previously in films Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For but this will mark her first major television role.

American Horror Story has featured musical performances since its second season so this opens the possibility of Gaga performing on the show.

Few details about Gaga’s role on the show and the season have been revealed but creator Ryan Murphy has suggested that all of the American Horror Story seasons are somehow connected. The premiere of the fourth season, Freak Show, broke FX’s record of most viewed telecast in the networks history.

As regularly scheduled to correlate with the Halloween holiday American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere in October.
