Kermit The Frog Denies New Girlfriend Rumors
After People Magazine posted an image of the Muppet’s new pretty pig, an ABC marketing executive named Denise, rumors spread that Kermit the Frog had moved on following his recent break up with longtime lover Miss Piggy.
The ex-couple said in a joint statement last month, “After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship.”
Kermit, however, quickly took to social media to put the rumor mill to rest.

“While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding?” Kermit said. “It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman–pig or otherwise–is my official ‘new girlfriend.’ We are simply close friends.”
Meanwhile, Miss Piggy moved on to Liam Hemsworth, who posted a photo of himself with the swine beauty on Instagram.
“Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world,” the “Hunger Games” star wrote in the caption. “Kermit, #SorryNotSorry.”
The Muppets premieres on ABC on September 22nd.
