The Daily Show host Jon Stewart and The O’Reilly Factor‘s Bill O’Reilly will face each other in a heated 90-minute debate on October 6th in Washington D.C.
Being dubbed “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium,” the contest will be held on the campus of George Washington University at Lisner Auditorium. The event will be streamed online (“It’s why Al Gore invented the Internet,” as the tagline reads) at therumble2012.com for a cost of $4.95.
Although both guests have appeared on each other’s shows, expect the event to be “like the worst Thanksgiving anyone ever went to” as Jon Stewart puts it.
“I’m excited to debate Mr. O’Reilly. I believe this will be a very enjoyable night for fans of our programs, political junkies, partisans and people who just enjoy yelling,” The Daily Show host added.
Meanwhile, O’Reilly doesn’t seemed as thrilled about the event as Stewart. “I had no idea my agent signed me up for this,” O’Reilly released in a statement. “How can I get out of it?”
It’s a little too late for that now Mr. O’Reilly. Check out the promo below for what may become the best debate of the election year!
