There WILL be drama on tonight’s episode of “American Idol.”
According to reports, contestant Jermaine Jones, the singer described as the “gentle giant with a baritone voice” tweeted just yesterday, “”Awww I will no longer b on the show.” His Twitter account, @jjonesai11, has since been deleted.
Jones was disqualified because he concealed two prior arrests from producers. One of the arrests involved violence.
Producers confronted Jones just days ago about the situation and to tell him he was no longer on this season of “Idol.” The entire event was caught on camera and will be shown during tonight’s episode.
TMZ reported that Jones was arrested twice in 2011 and gave police false names. He was also reported as having outstanding warrants.
There is no immediate word if Jones will be replaced by another contestant.
