Actress Jenny McCarthy is rumored to currently be in talks to be a new co-host on The View. The ex-Playboy Playmate would replace Joy Behar, who is leaving the daytime talk show when her contract ends in August.
McCarthy has co-hosted on The View on several occasions in the past and sources say she gets along very well with the cast and crew of the show. In March, there were rumors she was going to be replacing Joy Behar, but she denied them, saying she was busy hosting her own show, The Jenny McCarthy Show, on VH1.
The View is one of the top-rated daytime TV programs, but its ratings have declined in recent years. ABC’s addition of McCarthy to the program would be an attempt to help revitalize the show.
A representative for The View stated, “We have no announcement to make at this time.”
